Course Content (Syllabus)
The course 'Language and Society' (Sociolinguistics)includes issues relating to the linguistic and communicative behaviour, investigating social parameters such as age, gender, education, ethnic and geographical origin, etc. Through this course the communicative behaviour of various social groups and issues of language and identity are analysed. The connection of language and society and education is analysed.

Student Assessment
Description
The students are assessed and self-assessed throughout the semester with small projects that they present and are discussed in class in small groups. At the end of the semester, they take a final exam with open books and submit all the work in which they participated in order for their grade to be finalised.
