Learning Outcomes
The aim of the course is to give students basic knowledge of our musical and dance tradition, so they are able to meet teaching needs, regarding the Greek traditional dance, at all levels of education and regional cultural associations. The course is aimed at future teachers of Physical Education to learn about the traditions and customs of the Greek people, moral, aesthetic and educational value as derived from them and participate in the dissemination to the younger generations. The main sections of the course mentioned in the history of Greek dance, the position of Greek traditional dance in folklore, teaching representative dances from all regions of Greece, the morphological analysis of the dances and the teaching of Greek traditional dance.

Greek traditional dances: Rouga, Litos, Nizamikos, Tsamikos, Zeimpekikos fron Cyprusm Gainta, Pidiktos, Kotsari.
