Prerequisites
General Prerequisites
Students must have successfully completed the compulsory courses designated by the School for choosing the translation direction. Perfect knowledge of French language is a prerequisite.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, the students will be familiarised with audiovisual translation, master subtitling techniques and be able to use relevant subtitle software.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course aims at familiarising students with the field of audiovisual translation.Students are exposed to a large variety of audiovisual texts (i.e. films, trailers, advertisements, animation films etc.). Students are initiated to the general rules of subtitling. Furthermore they learn how to use relevant subtitling software.
