Course Content (Syllabus)
Color: Theory and experience.
In a special seminar the lab proposes a practical and theoretical research on how we experience color in the world and in our work. Students will have the opportunity to study a number of approaches to color, such as the "visual" and the "tactile" perception of color, symbolic / spiritual color theories, as well as the more widely known "visual color" theories. In the studio, they will devote time to a series of exercises that will clarify the expressive, symbolic, scientific and cultural aspects of color perception using mainly paper, canvas, acrylic pigment and artificial light. Lectures, field trips and guest speakers will broaden the discussion on color.
