Learning Outcomes
After the successful fulfillment of the course, the students will discover the different experimental equipment of the Laboratory for Strength of Materials and Structures by participating in the preparation and testing of the specimens. The students will learn about the limit strength-state of several materials, like concrete, steel, composites, aluminum etc. They will see the limit state of structural elements fabricated by concrete or steel. Finally different and innovative strengthening techniques of deteriorated structures will be familiarized to the students.
General Competences
  • Apply knowledge in practice
  • Retrieve, analyse and synthesise data and information, with the use of necessary technologies
  • Adapt to new situations
  • Work in teams
  • Generate new research ideas
  • Advance free, creative and causative thinking
