Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. posess a basic knowledge of the mechanisms involved in the applied ruminant nutrition.
2. evaluate the current literature concerning the understanding of nutrient requirements of ruminants, as well as the feedstuffs combination in diet formulation.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Feeding of dairy cows, breeding heifers, growing - fattening calves, sheep and goats (nutrient requirements for maintenance and production: energy, protein, vitamins, minerals. Diet formulation).
