Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: To know the morphological and anatomical characteristics of silkowrm during the different development stages To rear silkworms To cultivate mulberries to recognize the main silkworm diseases to distinguish the silk fabric

Course Content (Syllabus)
History of silk, sericulture in Greece, silkworm morphology and anatomy, life cycle of silkworm, silkworm rearing and equipment, mulberry (cultivation, diseases), eggs production, silkworm diseases and pests, coccons characteristics, silk processing, silk products
