Sources and harmonization of soil data. Methods for automated soil mapping. Procedures and equipment for field survey. Maps from soil scanners. Thematic maps of soil erosion risk. Aims and methods for land evaluation. Systems for land suitability assessment. Thematic maps of land suitability. Use of Geographic Information Systems in soil mapping and evaluation. Case studies.
