Course Content (Syllabus)
Wetland Ecology Definitions and wetlands classification. Greek wetland resources. Natural wetland functions and their values for humans. Wetland flora and fauna. Predation and food webs. Wetland hydrology. Watershed management and wetland quality. Water resime and wetland biota. Reasons for wetland loses and alterations. Wetland legislation. Management principles and preparation of management plans. Wetland rehabilitation and restoration. Artificial, Constructed wetlands.
