Learning Outcomes
The student at the end of the lessons must have an overall medical picture of the patient in order to manage every emergency case in the dental office. This clinical skill premises the application of the guidelines outline algorithms for the management of basic life support especially in the dental office

Course Content (Syllabus)
The purpose of the lesson is the acquition from the student all of the clinical skills that are needed in emergency dentistry, in order to be able to evaluate the problem and conclude the proper diagnosis from the patients' vital signs, be in place to administer the right medication and apply the guidelines outline algorithms for the management of basic life support especially in the dental office. The lesson will take place in groups of 10 students 2 hours weekly.Every group will practice in 3 sections of education with the following subjects: SECTION 1: Guidelines outline algorithms for the management of basic life support especially in the dental office for adults and children. Basic life support promotes adequate blood circulation in addition to breathing through a clear airway. Circulation: providing an adequate blood supply to tissue, especially critical organs, so as to deliver oxygen to all cells and remove metabolic waste, via the perfusion of blood throughout the body.Airway: the protection and maintenance of a clear passageway for gases (principally oxygen and carbon dioxide) to pass between the lungs and the atmosphere.Breathing: inflation and deflation of the lungs (respiration) via the airway. SECTION 2: Measurements of vital signs, body temperature, blood pressure, pulse (heart rate), and breathing rate (respiratory rate). SECTION 3: Injections, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous, endodermal. Blood sampling.
