Learning Outcomes
Acquaintance with the institutional, and especially constitutional, structura of the Republic of Greece. Understanding the legal and political notions of the constitution, getting to know the legal-constitutional framework of the democratic governmental system, learning how to handle a Legal text such as the cosntitution.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Constitution: notion and content, relationship to state and sovereignty. Fundamental constitutional principles: democracy, parliamentarism, represenation, republicanism, rule of Law, welfare state. Constitutional organs: the people, parliament, government, the president, courts.
