1. Introduction: Economics, Economy, The economic problems, Scarcity and compertitive use of resources, Exchange, the role of markets and economic policy, The circular flow 2. The functioning of the market: Supply and demand, Market equilibrium, Comparative statics, The price and income effect 3. Consumer Theory- Theory of Choice, axiomatic approach, indifference curves,Utility function, Budget constraint Optimization under constraints - lagrange multiplier Demand curve Elasticities
