Learning Outcomes
Course goals:
1. Development of students strategic though and approach to business problems,
2. Get the basic knowledge related to the:
- search, analysis and evaluation of the elements and development in the external and internal environment and
the basic assumptions under which strategic decisions are made,
- Different levels and types of strategies available to companies in order to be sustainable and develop.
3. Become familiar with the methods, systems, models and procedures of SM and be able to apply them in practice -
through case studies analysis
Course Content (Syllabus)
The course syllabus includes:
1) The content, importance and dimensions of Strategic Management (SM)
2) The basic model of the SM process and its faces and more precisely: Set mission, vision and targets, external
and internal environment analysis, SWOT analysis, the levels of strategy and the choice of strategy, strategy
implementation, evaluation and feedback
3) The different types of strategy options available at different levels,SM tools, systems, methods, procedures
and models
4) Case studies: study and analysis, in order to connect theory to practice
