Familiarization of technical and notational harmonic matters, as well as the understanding of basic stylistic features and their development.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to the history of harmony development. Exercises on modal harmony, figured bass, as well as four part choral harmonization (in J. S. Bach’s style). Work analysis of the period 1600 – 1750.
