Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students should have:
• been familiarised with the various theoretical and practical issues concerning medieval, renaissance and baroque music (theoretical thought, historical instruments, temperaments, performing issues, critical editions etc.)
• adapt the basic knowledge of the basic styles and schools of medieval, renaissance and baroque music.
• understand the basics of the evolution of musical notation of western music and develop basic reading and transcription skills.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Course that combines music theory and practice. The first half of the lesson is based on lectures. Ιn the second half, group discussion on the projects prepared by the students take place, combined with artistic workshops with performance practice. Students should be prepared for extra meetings during the semester.
