Learning Outcomes
After the successful completion of the subject, the students have got knowledge regarding: -the chemistry of solutions,their preparations and applications in chemical reactions - chemical equillibrium of acids, bases, buffer solutions, indicators and heterogenious equillibrium of salts - criteria for evaluation of methods of analysis and the statistical treatment of analytical data -basic prinsiples of instrumental methods of analysis and the relative instrumentations.

Analytical Chemistry. Introduction to analytical chemistry - Principles. Volumetric methods of analysis. Chemical equilibrium - Solubility - Reaction rates -equilibrium constant - Activity/Ionic strength. Charge balance - Mass balance. Buffers - Indicators. Statistical treatment of Analytical Data. Instrumental methods of analysis - Introduction - Principles. Optical methods - Spectrophotometry - Applications. Atomic Spectroscopy - Absorption/Emission/ Fluorescence. Fun¬damentals of Electrochemistry - Potentiomery/Electrodes. Separation techniques -Chromatographic methods - Liquid Chromatography/Ion Exchange Chromatography.
