Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students are able to:

-Determine and analyze the didactic, educational and psychological conditions on the basis of which biblical, patristic, dogmatic and liturgical texts can be used as learning contents in Religious Education.

-Implement the basic principles of didactic analysis onto biblical, patristic, liturgical and dogmatic texts in the teaching process of Religious Education.
(Competences)
-Develop a critical attitude on the importance of biblical, patristic, liturgical, and dogmatic texts as didactic means portraying the culture and thought of Orthodox Theology.
-Perceive the significance of biblical, patristic, liturgical, and dogmatic texts as learning contents, that contribute to the mutual acquaintance, respect and co-existence with other religious traditions.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The main purpose of the course is to examine the way in which the Biblical, Patristic, Liturgical and Dogmatic texts can be used as educational content in Religious Education. Therefore, a Didactic Analysis is attempted on the contents of these texts. At the same time, the significance of these texts is taken into account, in relation to pupils' life as a reflection of fundamental questions about human existence, of course, in direct reference to the basic aspects of Orthodox theology. Finally, issues concerning teaching methodology are highlighted so to theological aspects of these texts be accessible to pupils.

Students are questioned in writting and orally on issues discussed in class. Assessment is based upon whether students state clear answers and develop personal critical attitude towards course thematic.
