At the end of the semester, students will be able to: a. to know theoretically the work done by parish priests in the parish, b. to have the theoretical theological knowledge concerning the way the parish operates as a society of persons, c.to know the cooperation of the church with the social institutions and their partnership in the ministry of branches / institutions for serving specific social needs.
Course Content (Syllabus)
The pastoral work and the ministry of the Church in society is an integral part of ecclesiastical life and tradition. The course examines the theological conditions of the pastoral and social work of the Church and the individual forms it takes to address the contemporary spiritual and social needs of the human being. In this connection, issues such as spiritual paternity, reevagelization, philanthropy, entertainment, globalization and religious freedom are dealt with.
