Course Content (Syllabus)
The pastoral work and the ministry of the Church in society is an integral part of ecclesiastical life and tradition. The course examines the theological conditions of the pastoral and social work of the Church and the individual forms it takes to address the contemporary spiritual and social needs of the human being. In this connection, issues such as spiritual paternity, reevagelization, philanthropy, entertainment, globalization and religious freedom are dealt with. 1. Pastoral work and dialogue in the modern world. 2. The Priest and the re-evagelisation of the flock. 3. The Priest and the psychological disorders . 4. Spiritual paternity. 5.The priest and family. 6. Person and Society: The Social Ethics of Orthodox Theology. 7. Charity and philanthropy: theological view. 8. Infertility, lameness and adoption. 9. Modern forms of entertainment. 10. Christianity and political economy. 11.Globalization and Christian universality. 12.Politics and Christianity. 13.Religious freedom and faith-citizenship.

Student Assessment
Description
At the end of the semester, they are examined verbally in groups of four or six students on material taught and found in the book offered for the lesson. The presence of students to the lectures is considered. Those who miss two lectures during the semester must contact the professor for additional/special arrangements.
