Course Content (Syllabus)
1. Introduction - General part - The insurance (meaning, essential elements, divisions) - The insurance contract (meaning, characteristics, the private international law of the insurance contract, jurisdictions, European law of insurance, the Parties). 2. The insurance contract• (conclusion, special types of insurance contracts, policy, duration). 3. Obligations of Parties - Obligations of the policyholder (premium payment, other obligations -such as- information duty , obligations after the occurrence of the risk, etc., ), obligations of the insurer, assignment of the insurance claim, prescription of the insurance claim. 4. Special part – insurance against loss and damage (General principles, insurance loss, insurance interest, insurance value, insurance sum, subrogation of the insurer) 5. Special types of non marine loss insurance (fire insurance, insurance for the carriage of goods, crop insurance, credit insurance, civil liability insurance, compulsory insurance of civil liability of motor vehicle accidents, other forms of loss insurance). 6. Personal Insurance (General principles of insurance of the person and insurance of fixed sums, types of a life insurance, accident and sickness insurance).
