Learning Outcomes
The purpose of this course is to prepare students for being able to take over a parish work, with responsibility, as priest-pastors or as priests' professional partners or as social workers who contribute in the special work of a parish's services. The purpose of this course is also to provide the knowledge of how the scientific action, along with the psychological research trial, contribute to the development and implementation of the findings of modern psychological theories in the pastoral work of the Church. Through the theory, along with the Orthodox Pastoral Pshyhology, students will be able to act with responsibility at a parish as priests-pastors or as professional partners of priests or as social workers who contribute to the speciallised offer of a parish's services. In addition, they will have the chance to learn what kind of problems the believers are facing because of the wrong religious life and which actions they have to take in order to provide solutions. In addition, students will come in touch with the parish and the pastoral field work. They will be informed, through direct and realistic terms, for the issues that a pastor and the social workers are facing during their work.
