Course Content (Syllabus)
The seminar will give an account of the archaeometric studies which contribute to the better understanding of archaeological materials and help interpreting the past. These studies among others include the analysis of environmental data, architectural remains, geoarchaeological evidence, petrographic and chemical analyses of material items, stable isotope and ancient DNA analyses of organic materials and micromorphology.

Description
Students will have to study and present weekly selected articles from the Greek or foreign literature in order to develop in a critical way their arguments and get involved in a thorough discussion. In addition, students will have to prepare the oral presentation of a topic which will be selected from a proposed list and will be submitted in written form by the end of the semester
