General review of basic issues at the field of the Introduction to the Old Testament and state-of-the-art in current research. 1. Introductory lesson. Terminology. History of scholarship 2. Old Testament as history and revelation 3. The canon of the Old Testament 4. The text of the Old Testament. Ancient text 5. The text of the Old Testament. Translations-Qumran 6.
