Learning Outcomes
After the successful completion of the course students will be able: (1) to fulfill their theological knowledge in dialogue with other Christians, to construct cooperative relations (2) to develop dialogue with the social sciences (3) to discern the epistemological boundaries of human sciences and the potential of theology.

Course Content (Syllabus)
1. Judaism and Greco-Roman world in Byzantium, 2. The revival of the ancient city in the ecclesiastical space, 3. The democracy of the Church, 4. The imperial court. 5. The political theology in Byzantium, 6. The "public" Church, 7. Monasticism and eschatology, 8. Th. Eucharist as a sign of the unity of creation, 9. Tradition and renewal. 10. Christianity restriction points during the first millennium. 11- 13. Papers Presentation.
