Upon completion of the course, students can: 1. To recognize the codological characteristics of a manuscript 2. To describe the codological structure of a manuscript (writing material, watermarks, quires, watermarks)

1. Basic elements of the book's history 2. Structure of a codex 3. Description of its individual elements of a codex 4. Familiarity with new methods and techniques of codicology
