Learning Outcomes
The main aim of the course is to familiarize students with the specialized language of the Science of Theology (Islam) in order to acquire the language skills that will enable them to understand and produce scientific texts on the subject of their studies. It also aims to develop the skills students need to respond to more general and specific communication circumstances during their studies. Specifically,students are trained to a. achieve a basic vocabulary of the special language of their Science as used in simple authentic texts, b. develop reading skills that facilitate understanding through comprehension tasks that follow fast or tracing reading and to practice the specific vocabulary.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Authentic texts from the different expressions of Islam, such as :Islam, Arabia at the time of Muhammad, The Life of Muhammad, The Byzantine Empire at the time of Muhammad, The First Four Crusades,The Hajj.The texts are followed by a variety of tasks. The teaching material is uploaded onto the e-learning platform.
