Course Content (Syllabus)
Analysis of the cinematic image through the representation of space, linear motif, rhythm and color. The study of all the visual components that create and determine an image. Analysis of sequences of images that create a scene as part of a film. This course is based on Bruce Block's book The Visual story, Seeing the structure of film, TV & new media. Study of natural light. A variety of lighting set ups and compositions based on a number of visual components.
