Learning Outcomes
With the successful completion of the module, the students will be able to:
- know the function of the sensory organs and sensations in relation to the human communication and their contribution to the recording of everyday life in filming
- understand the mechanism of facial expression and body language in human communication
- recognize elements/data of non-verbal communication (facial expression and body language) in films and their contribution in the enhancement or weakening of dialogs and narration in the act of the scenario
- use elements/data of non-verbal communication (facial expression and body language) in their own film projects to reduce or enhance/weaken dialogs and narration in the film action
- be able to point out problems related to expression and communication (e.g. mental disorders) in roles of their scenarios in order to have comprehensive understanding of the scenario demands
- note problems encountered in communications in the levels of filming, acting of actors/actresses and perception of the beholder
Course Content (Syllabus)
Awareness and understanding of the undergraduate student in the school of Film Studies regarding the biological base of communication, body language and facial expression, the perception of film by the viewer and the intended result according to scenario.
Objectives:
