Course Content (Syllabus)
The visual message that a two-dimensional surface, such as a printed paper or a screen, carries, is the result of the layout of the information in that particular surface. The way that the human eye moves to a two-dimensional surface, and by extension captures the information, is indicated by the design, that is, the organization of visual elements such as color, images, texts, vector graphics etc. The purpose of the course "Computer Graphics and Image Editing" is to educate students in graphics and image design and editing issues. The course, structured in theoretical lectures and practical exercises, focuses on the organization of visual elements on a printed area or a screen, and on digital editing. Because of its laboratory nature, the course has compulsory attendance and because of the limited lab positions it is required to register in a form of interest at the beginning of the semester.
