Learning Outcomes
The acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge in Remote Sensing, with emphasis on the requirements of the Spatial Planning and Development. Familiarity use e-learning system. Familiarity with bibliographic research, literature and foreign language terminology. Acquiring practical knowledge of software Sensing. Capacity self-study-research. Assimilation of theoretical and practical knowledge of remote sensing in areas that emphasize the requirements of the Spatial Planning and Development.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction-Applications, Basic Concepts, electromagnetic spectrum, mapping Satellites & Recording Systems, Digital features of satellite imagery, spatial and radiometric resolution capability, sampling, digital image and its geometry, arithmetic of Images (Filters etc), Geometric and radiometric corrections, image improvements and transformations, image Classification - Algorithms, Remote Sensing and photo-interpretation of Digital Image, photo interpretation features, Photointerpretation of cover-land uses. Practical applications in various Department disciplines.

Description
The teaching of the theory is carried out in the halls of the Department, utilizing electronic teaching / presentation. The laboratory exercises conducted in the laboratories of the Department, utilizing both Remote Sensing software and electronic teaching / presentation. Detailed information and data provided in the course elearning. It is also a communication tool with students (announcements, etc.).

Student Assessment
Description
The examination is initially in the classroom (theory) and then in the laboratories of the Department (lab exercises), after the completion of 13 weeks of instruction. The examination is performed in Theory and laboratory exercises. Specifically, in the laboratories of the Department, students are asked to solve exercises, which are similar to the exercises taught during the semester. The theory exam is 60%, and the examination in the laboratory for 40% of the final grade.
