Course Content (Syllabus)
Cartographic perception. Physical structure of the graphic image. Cartographic Data Bases. Automatization of map compilation and production. Principles, problems and optimization of cartographic composition. Selection, evaluation, data preprocessing. sheet composition and graphic symbolization. Paper size standardization. Color and color options. Relief issues. Toponymy and writing rules. Communication features of cartographic composition. Materials and systems of design, production and reproduction. Processes and organization of production, essays, tests, corrections. reproduction technology and map folding. Updates and revisions. Cartographic documentation and archiving.
