Course Content (Syllabus)
Performance and biological adaptations. Genetically predetermined limits. Muscle fibers and heredity. Determinants and limiting factors of VO2max. Limits of anaerobic performance. Limits of respiratory function. Limits of the cardiovascular system - athletic heart. Limits on neuromuscular function and performance. Limits of human performance in extreme environmental conditions. Psychosocial approach the limits of athletic performance. Limits of performance in middle and old age. Doping.
