Learning Outcomes
Upon the successful completion of this course, the students will be provided with the basic theoretical and practical knowledge, which will enable them to: Describe the basic safety rules in the aquatic environment and the surrounding area. Adopt a positive attitude towards issues regarding the importance of the exercise in water to health. Plan swimming lessons, having breathing, diving, front and back floating as their basic components, as well as propulsion for all 4 different swimming “styles”.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Basic rules of conduct and hygiene. Familiarization with the water. Safety inside and around the water. Basic principles of breathing, dunking, floating and propulsion. Propulsion from the wall and underwater propulsion Teaching methods of basic exercises for floating in prone, supine and side position. Front crawl with side-breathe. The basic technique of backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly swimming styles. Entering the water in competitive condition and turns in all 4 techniques.

Description
Methodical teaching of the basic techniques of front and back floating, diving, and propulsion (30%). Written examinations with multiple choice questions (40%). Entering the water with a dive. Swimming 50 meters front-crawl with the head in the water and side-breathe.Swimming 50 meters with the backstroke, breaststroke technique and 25 meters with the butterfly technique(30%).
