Learning Outcomes
To provide theoretical and practical knowledge as to the field of exercise psychology, knowledge on the determinants of exercise participants' positive experience during exercise participation and degree of exercise involvement, and practical guidelines for the exercise instructor as to maximizing exercise participants' positive experiences during class and exercise adherence.

Introduction to exercise psychology Self-esteem and exercise participation The theories of reasoned action and planned behavior in exercise Self-efficacy and achievement goals in exercise Protection motivation theory and health action process approach in exercise Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and flow in exercise The transtheoretical model in exercise Elderly individuals and motives to exericse Women and children in exercise and physical activity The psychology of participation in outdoors physical activity
