The aim of the course is the understanding of Mathematics and the particularities of their teaching, the acquisition of relevant scientific knowledge and the development of skills regarding methematics teaching.
Course Content (Syllabus)
The course examines the teaching development of mathematical concepts in preschool and early school age (space, geometry, qualitative properties and relations, numbers and mesure).
Specificities of mathematical concepts are analyzed, related difficulties of the children are presented and the development of mathematical activity and material is studied.
The course provides necessary and specialized knowledge for the design of mathematics teaching with relevant tasks, games and material.
