Learning Outcomes
"Philosophy of Science" lectures are given to students during the first semester.
During the first lecture 20-30 groups are formed and are given certain topics, along with literature.
The students of each group cooperate in searching additional infrmation on the topic thry are going to present (power-point presentation)and to write the respective essay.

- Retrieve, analyse and synthesise data and information, with the use of necessary technologies
Course Content (Syllabus)
Philosophy and Science relation. The methodology and nature of scientific knowledge. Methods of acquiring scientific knowledge. Social character of scientific knowledge. Necessity of studying scientific problems. Philosophic problems of specific sciences with emphasis on Geology. Historical evolution of scientific knowledge.
