Learning Outcomes
Upon the successful completion of the course, the students will be able to perform a complete electrical installation study in buildings as well as in special locations. Initially, they will be able to calculate the current rating of cables and lines, the protection of cables and lines against short-circuits and over-voltages and the appropriate switching, earthing and protection devices. In addition, the students will be able to design electrical motor installations and medium voltage substations. Finally, the students will be able to perform a techno-economical study using current electricity tariffs and reactive power compensation.
General Competences
  • Apply knowledge in practice
  • Retrieve, analyse and synthesise data and information, with the use of necessary technologies
  • Make decisions
  • Work in teams
  • Work in an interdisciplinary team
  • Design and manage projects
  • Respect natural environment
