Learning Outcomes
The students will Gain knowledge of the morphological traits of important aromatic, medicinal and apicultural plants, which are part of the Greek flora. Learn about their ecology, chorology and their biological demands. Learn about specific plant parts which are important in terms of concentration of aromatic and medicinal compounds. Become aware of methods of field collection, plant patr processing and extraction of active ingredients.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Systematics of Aromatic, Medicinal and Apicultural plants of the greek Flora. Morphological traits (morphology, physiology) and geobotanical characteristics (ecology, chorology, historical use) of Aromatic, Medicinal and Apicultural plants. Practical use and economic value of Aromatic, Medicinal and Apicultural plants.

Description
Achievement of learning goals is evaluated through written exams on the content of all course lectures. A minimum grade of five(5) is required in the written exams so that the course is considered successfully passed. Written exams comprise multiple choice and short/extended answer questions.
