Learning Outcomes
Recognision of the main forage species, their oikology, genetics and cultivation. To work on methods of collection and evaluation of natural population of forage species. Learning the basic principals of breeding forage species. Learnign how to choise the appropriate forage species and varieties depending on use and enviromental conditions.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The main range species in Greece: distribution - origin - evolution - cytology. Genetic variation and its use. Methods of breeding pertinent to range species. Seed production.
