Course Content (Syllabus)
Theory Introductory concepts. Collection and import of spatial data in a GIS. Geographic coordinate system and map projections. Projection systems. Types of spatial data in a GIS. Geographical Databases. Working with tables. Spatial Analysis. On-line GIS (Web GIS) and Cloud GIS. Practical Classes Familiarisation with ArcGIS. Familiarisation with the ArcGIS Desktop environment. Coordinate systems and Projection Systems. Georeferencing and digitization in ArcGIS. Creation, processing and analysis of spatial and descriptive data. Vector and raster analysis. Creation of maps.
