Ability to design control systems with the use of mechatronic components. Ability to model systems with the use of simulation software. Ability to design algorithms for controlling simple industrial processes and implement them on the available laboratory development platforms.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Design of Digital systems. Analog to Digital (ADC) and Digital to Analog (DAC) converters. Optical, Imaging, Induction, Magnetic, Inertia, Piezoelectric and strain gauge sensors. Mechatronic actuators: BLDC,PMSM DC and AC motors,stepper motors, hydraulic systems, solenoids. Introduction to Motor Control schemes. Introduction to C language. Introduction to programming and communication of Micro-controllers and Introduction to PLCs, enviroments LADDER, FBD. Design and control of mechatronic systems.
