Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course the students:
• Will know the basics of the theory of plasticity, the yield criteria and the methodology to apply them in metal forming processes.
• Will know the wide range of metal forming processes used in industrial applications, their capabilities, as well as the equipment used.
• Will know the principles of each metal forming process and be able to make a mathematical / physical description of the process applying an analytical method, to calculate characteristic parameters and determine the forces applied and the power required for performing the metal forming process.
