Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students are expected to be able to: - Apply pre-operative restraint measures for the safety of the animal, the veterinary surgeon and the farm personnel and for a successive surgical procedure - Recognize and apply the appropriate anesthesia dependent on the species, surgical site and individual behavior of the animal - Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of surgical procedures and of the possible intra-operative complications and means of intervention - Recognize post-operative complications and apply treatment strategies to minimize the effect of them
