Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course students should be able to understand and investigate the moral consideration on Bioethics from the point of view of Orthodox Bioethics. On this context are examined fundamental bioethical issues, such as abortion, assisted reproductive technology, cloning and euthanasia.

1. The interdisciplinary dialog on bioethics 2. The importance of terminology in bioethics 3. The approach of Orthodox Bioethics 4. Person and dignity 5. Abortion 6. Prenatal and preimplantation diagnosis 7. Assisted reproductive technology: in-vitro fertilization 8. Assisted reproductive technology: surrogate motherhood 9. Reproductive cloning 10. Therapeutic cloning 11. Euthanasia 12. AIDS 13. Bury or Burn the Dead?

There is an oral examination, which takes place in small groups of 4-5 students. The class participation and the writing of essays are counted positively for the assessment of the student.
