Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to • be familiar with the principles, theories and practices of community work in the field of mental health • understand the processes of designing, organising and evaluating community services for the prevention and treatment of mental health problems • be aware of the dominant perspectives on the role of sociocultual factors in the emergence and course of mental disorders • have developed skills for the analysis and evaluation of community services and interventions in the field of mental health

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course offers an introduction to the principles and practices of community clinical psychology. Through lectures, seminars and invited speaker presentations, students will be introduced to the principles of community work in the field of mental health and to designing, organising and evaluating community services for the prevention and treatment of mental disorders. The course will also cover dominant approaches to the role of sociocultural factors in the emergence and course of mental disorders, as well as the organisation and functioning of the existing mental health service system. The course will take place at the same time as students' placement in community mental health services, and in this context there will be consulting and suupervisory discussions with the students regarding their placement experiences.
