Learning Outcomes
With the successful completion of the course the students are expected be able to read and transcribe from capital into small letters the text of Greek inscriptions; they should also be capable of determining the category to which the inscriptions belong, translating their text and describing their relationship to the monuments with which they are connected.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The subject of the course is signatures of artists. 1. Exercises by the students in transcribing and translating Ancient Greek Inscriptions. 2. Presentation of the subject by the teacher. 3. Reading and commenting published studies on signatures of artists on ancient Greek sculptures. The students are required to write extensive summaries of the studies read. 4. Preparation and oral presentation of papers by the students. 5. Submission of written papers and grading.
