Learning Outcomes
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to understand collocations, word families, cohesion and coherence as they unfold in a coursebook that deals with academic vocabulary. This class introduces students to over 450 key word families that frequent English academic texts. Comprehension of such word lists allow students to eventually make the right stylistic choices.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course is designed to teach students academic vocabulary in context. This is accomplished through the teaching of the following topics: collocations polysemy and homonymy cohesion and coherence word families
