Course Content (Syllabus)
This course examines some of the key ongoing debates in current applied linguistics focussing on language in its social context, language and culture education, language policy and planning, language and migration, language attitudes and ideologies as well as globalization and the spread of English. Students will also explore a variety of subjects such as language acquisition and intercultural communication through case studies and other research methods.
