Learning Outcomes
Students are expected • to understand the neurobiological basis of language • to understand the role of the brain in language learning (L1, L2, L3) and perform highly specialized language tasks (e.g. simultaneous interpretation) • to correlate the findings of basic research on neuro-linguistics with the foreign language practice in the classroom. •to be familiar with the methodology of neurolinguistics and how it is applied to the study of language

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course is an introductory approach to Neurolinguistics. Specifically, I focus on the following sections: • Brain and language. Structure and language functions. • Learning L1 as a neurobiological process. • Brain plasticity and bilingualism / multilingualism. Brain and L2 learning • Neurolinguistic findings and foreign language teaching
