Course Content (Syllabus)
The seminar concerns different categories of archaeological monuments - architectural, sculptural and ceramic - and analyses their special form/shape and their function. We consider questions like in which way the form and the special features of a monument are influenced by the needs of function. We examine problems of interpretation related to function, taking into account the archaeological finds, and we discuss methodological problems.
