Learning Outcomes
The course aims to enrich and deepen the student knowledge of tennis. Particular attention is given to education at the special teaching of the sport and the parallel development of technical training of students in order to make them able to practice the profession of tennis coach, especially in development groups, or to deal with it in researching or business field. The learning outcomes served, meet the newer standards established by the International Tennis Federation ITF for the different stages of difficulty, which should be consistent with the relevant developmental ages of the of tennis players at the "red", "orange" and "green" level. With the acquisition of experience and the successful completion of the course students will be able to: • perform the technical and tactical elements taught, in training or competition conditions, • teach what information they have learned, to children in the early developmental age, but also to interested beginners.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Technical analysis of special strokes. Errors and corrections. Training designing. Daily, weekly and annual plan. Tournament organization. Completion of a Maindraw and keeping the score card. Fitness (strength and endurance). Athletes special Nutrition . Drills Monitoring and evaluation of performance Psychology of a tennis athlete. Tennis and sports marketing.

Student Assessment
Description
During the entire semester the regular and active attendance of the course (30%) were evaluated, while at the end practical (40%) and theoretical (30%) examinations of Tennis are following. At the practical part students were examined: a) individually in the technique of the strokes after feeding by the teacher-coach and b) in pairs in match conditions. Written Exams are performed for testing the theory of the sport. Essential condition for final success in the exams is achieved when at least the grade 5 ("sufficient") in each one of the three Exams parts is reached. The criteria are explicitly reported in the Syllabus of the course and communicated to the students in the first lesson. Moreover, the criteria can also be found in the Department's internet page of the person who is in charge of the course.
